Reclamation releases final environmental documents for North Drainage Canal Lift Pump Station Project

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released the final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact documents for the proposed North Drainage Canal Lift Pump Station Project.

Reclamation will provide a WaterSMART Small-Scale Water Efficiency Project grant to the Natomas Central Mutual Water Company to construct and operate a new irrigation tailwater recovery lift pump station on the North Drainage Canal, near the Sankey Canal, in Sutter County, CA. The lift station will have a capacity of 120-cubic-foot-per-second; its operation is anticipated to result in an annual water savings of 4,000 acre-feet.

The final EA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available at https://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=34021.
