NAPA, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation announced recreation area closures and new operating hours at Lake Berryessa beginning October 1. These closures allow Reclamation to perform necessary maintenance tasks and allow for natural resource recovery. All other Reclamation-operated locations at Berryessa remain open year-round, with exceptions and hours listed below:
* • The north side of Oak Shores Day Use Area and the two restrooms along the Smittle Creek Trail are closed until March 31, 2020. The south side of Oak Shores will continue to offer restroom facilities, picnic tables, barbeque grills, water access, and a kayak/canoe hand launch.
* Gates close at 5 p.m. to reflect daylight hour changes at Oak Shores, Smittle Creek and Eticuera Day Use Areas.
* Capell Cove Boat Launch will remain open from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
* The Dufer Point Visitor Center is open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. through March 31, 2020.

The administration office will remain open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is located at 5520 Knoxville Road, Napa, CA 94558. Maps and pass sales for Berryessa’s new fee program are available at the administration office and the visitor center during operating hours.
