All public facilities at New Melones temporarily closed

The following news_release was published by the Bureau of Reclamation on April 3, 2020. It is reproduced in full below.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation will temporarily close all remaining open facilities at New Melones Lake beginning April 4.

In support of the recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and requests from Calaveras and Tuolumne county health officials, all campgrounds, trails, day-use and boat launching facilities at New Melones Lake will temporarily close until further notice.
