Bill H.R.8698 titled “To eliminate the exemption of air carriers from the authority of the Federal Trade Commission and to prohibit certain unfair and deceptive acts and practices relating to air carrier delays, and for other purposes” was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and in addition to the Committee on Energy and Commerce for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned by the House of Representatives. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Janice Schakowsky with David Cicilline as cosponsor.

Bill H.R.8699 titled “To prohibit the provision of Federal funds to the National Institutes of Health for the purposes of conducting biological, medical, or behavioral research involving the testing of dogs” was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce by the House of Representatives. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Gregory Steube with Brian Fitzpatrick as cosponsor.
