FBI Media Alert: Man Arrested After Northeast Albuquerque Bank Robbed

FBI Media Alert: Man Arrested After Northeast Albuquerque Bank Robbed

Jason Blackwood, 43, of Albuquerque, has been arrested in connection with the robbery Wednesday, June 1, 2016 of a Bank of the West branch in northeast Albuquerque.

The FBI arrested Blackwood with the assistance of the Albuquerque Police Department.

Blackwood is expected to appear in U.S. District Court on Thursday.

A man walked into the Bank of the West located at 780 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE shortly before 1:20 p.m. and demanded money from a teller.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

No further information will be released until after Blackwood’s hearing.

The public is reminded that defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
