Alleged Serial Bank Robber Arrested

Alleged Serial Bank Robber Arrested

Steven Rice, 41, of Barrington, New Jersey, was taken into custody on July 6, 2016 by members of the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force, with assistance from the Gloucester County (New Jersey) Prosecutor’s Office.

Rice is charged by federal criminal complaint with the June 30, 2016 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 2005 Market Street in Philadelphia.

He is under investigation for an additional three robberies in Philadelphia and one in New Castle, Delaware.

Rice was scheduled to make an initial appearance before a magistrate judge today at 1:30 p.m.
