FBI is Seeking the Public’s Help Identifying a Deceased Man

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Aug. 26, 2016. It is reproduced in full below.

The FBI is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who was found deceased in a wooded area in Porcupine, South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation. The unidentified body was found on Aug. 20, 2016 wearing white tennis shoes (size 10), blue sweat pants, and a grey FGCU (Florida Gulf Coast University) T-shirt.

This individual had three tattoos. One tattoo located on the left shoulder (native male face with downward feather), one tattoo on the right shoulder (“SKYE" with broken heart), and one tattoo on the right upper arm (a tribal flag symbol depicting eight teepees inside a two ringed circle). He is further described as follows:

Height: 5’9" to 5’10" tall

Weight: 180 to 200 pounds

Age: 30s to 40s

Hair: black with some grey, shoulder length

Richard T. Thornton, special agent in charge of the Minneapolis Field Office of the FBI, requests that anyone with information regarding this individual contact the Minneapolis FBI at (763) 569-8000.
