FBI and Albuquerque Fire Department Seek Public's Assistance in Fire Investigation
The FBI and Albuquerque Fire Department are asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons responsible for setting several fires that damaged the office of Project Defending Life on Nov. 23, 2016.
The fires at the building located at 625 San Mateo Blvd. NE started shortly after midnight. A chapel inside the building also was damaged.
The Fire Department quickly extinguished the blazes, and nobody was injured.
Photos show a white vehicle seen near the Project Defending Life building around the time the fires were set there. Investigators would like to talk to this driver to determine whether he or she witnessed anything. The driver is not being called a suspect at this time.
Anyone with information about these fires or who recalls seeing anything suspicious in the area at the time of the fires is asked to call the FBI (24 hours) at 505-889-1300.
