Update: Drug Trafficking Fugitives Captured
FBI Special Agent in Charge (SAC) William Woods has announced the capture of all three fugitives of an alleged drug trafficking organization (DTO). The three are part of a larger group of people who have been federally indicted in U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri, with conspiracy to distribute drugs.
Fugitives William L. Gavin and Leaha M. Hazza were arrested on Aug. 16, 2016. Sandy Springs (Georgia) Police arrested the two after a routine traffic stop revealed they were in a stolen vehicle. The third fugitive, Brian Knight, was captured based on tips from the public. The U.S. Marshals arrested Knight on Nov. 28, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona.
“Once again, I thank the public for the numerous tips on all three fugitives since our request for help last May," said SAC Woods. “I also want to thank our law enforcement partners for their diligence in capturing all three subjects without incident."
