Man Wearing Walmart Vest Robs Albuquerque Bank

Man Wearing Walmart Vest Robs Albuquerque Bank

A man wearing a blue Walmart vest and a rag on his head robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017.

The suspect was described as a black man in his mid-20s, approximately 5'10" tall, with a slender to medium build.

He wore a blue Walmart vest over a white T-shirt, a black rag on his head, blue jeans and dark shoes.

Witnesses said the suspect entered BBVA Compass Bank, 3500 Candelaria Blvd. NE, at approximately 1:08 p.m.

He presented a demand note to a teller and made verbal threats.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and was last seen walking west on Candelaria Boulevard.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (505) 889-1300, or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
