New Orleans Man Arrested by FBI and Charged with Sexual Exploitation of Children for His Role in the Production of Child Pornography
NEW ORLEANS-On May 23, 2017, the FBI New Orleans Child Exploitation Task Force (CETF) recovered a 14-year-old female in New Orleans, Louisiana. The juvenile was found with a 57-year-old male, who has been charged via criminal complaint with production of child pornography. Investigation is ongoing.
The New Orleans CETF arrested Jon Christopher Ballay, age 57, in Orleans Parish who was subsequently charged under Title 18 U.S.C. Section 2251(a) - Sexual Exploitation of Children, which includes the Production of Child Pornography.
This matter will be prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Louisiana.
The Child Exploitation Task Force is composed of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Louisiana State Police, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Kenner Police Department. The New Orleans Police Department also provided assistance.
