FBI Seeks Special Agent Candidates at Recruiting Event
On the evening of Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will host a Diversity Agent Recruitment (DAR) Event in Honolulu. FBI special agents and human resources personnel from the FBI Honolulu Field Office will be on-hand at the event to discuss career opportunities and promote diversity employment within the FBI.
The FBI seeks to hire an additional 750 special agents in 2017. Under a unique hiring effort, the FBI will be hosting a recruitment event to attract highly qualified candidates for exciting careers within the FBI’s growing workforce. In announcing the event, Special Agent in Charge Paul D. Delacourt stated, “The world and the threats we face are rapidly changing, and the FBI is advancing along with it. To address new and emerging threats, the FBI will be diversifying its special agent population by hiring more female and multi-cultural applicants, as well as candidates possessing backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, and math."
The FBI hiring event seeks highly qualified applicants who are U.S. citizens between 23-36 years of age and have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and three or more years of work experience.
The event is free, but by invitation-only. Aspiring FBI candidates can receive an invitation to this event by uploading their resume to the FBI:
