FBI Requests Public Assistance to Identify Bank Robber

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the San Diego Violent Crimes Task Force are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for a bank robbery in San Diego, California.

On Aug. 30, 2017, at approximately 2:49 p.m., an individual walked into Chase Bank, located at 2551 5th Avenue, San Diego, California. The man approached a teller and provided a handwritten note demanding money from the bank. The robber was provided a sum of cash and walked out of the bank on foot. It is believed, however, that he departed the area on a bicycle.

Witnesses have described the robber as follows:

Sex: Male

Race:White

Age: 50s

Height: 5’5" tall

Build: Thin

Clothing: Dark baseball cap, eyeglasses, dark colored shirt, and dark colored pants.

Weapon: Not seen or threatened during the robbery.
