FBI Media Alert: Man Wearing University of New Mexico Football Jersey Robs Albuquerque Bank

FBI Media Alert: Man Wearing University of New Mexico Football Jersey Robs Albuquerque Bank

A man wearing a red University of New Mexico football jersey robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5'11" tall, with a slender build.

He wore a red football jersey with the number 12 on both sides and “New Mexico" on the back, a dark long-sleeve shirt under the jersey, a dark baseball cap, and dark pants. He possibly used a light-colored wig.

At approximately 1:29 p.m., the suspect entered BBVA Compass Bank, 7530 Montgomery Boulevard, NE.

The suspect went up to a teller and put a dark blue bag on the counter.

He verbally demanded money and then displayed a handgun.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and walked southeast toward Pennsylvania Street NE.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
