JACKSONVILLE, FL-Charles P. Spencer, special agent in charge of the FBI Jacksonville Division announces the arrest of FBI fugitive Rahmon D. Allen, during a joint operation of federal, state, and local law enforcement partners in Jacksonville.
Allen, aka “Fat Boy," had been wanted since 2014, when the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri issued a federal arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in trafficking over 1,000 kilograms of marijuana. The drugs were used in a distribution enterprise involving members and associates of the South Side Posse and Five Ace Deuce criminal street gangs. An FBI Wanted Poster was distributed to the public nationwide at the time, but all attempts to locate Allen were unsuccessful.
On the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, the FBI Jacksonville field office received new information regarding Allen’s potential location. With the assistance of law enforcement partners, FBI special agents took Allen into custody that afternoon during a vehicle stop along Arlington Expressway.The arrest took place without incident. Representatives from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the operation.
Allen was detained overnight at the Duval County Jail. Additional charges are pending.
“This arrest shows how well the FBI Jacksonville Division and our law enforcement partners work together," said SAC Spencer. “This arrest was carefully planned and quickly executed, and we are proud to work alongside them to remove violent, dangerous offenders from our community as quickly as possible."
