What: NATIONAL CRIME VICTIMS’ RIGHTS WEEK Jefferson Area Victim Assistance Coalition and Roanoke Valley Victims’ Resource Coalition Community Events

When & Where: Friday, April 13th from 11:30a.m. to 1:30p.m. Sprint Pavilion in the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VA

Saturday, April 14th from 1:00p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wells Fargo Plaza near Market Square in Roanoke, VA

Who: On hand during each event will be dozens of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and service providers who all serve the Charlottesville and Roanoke Valley areas.

Cost: FREE, open to the public.

Purpose: Highlight resources available to victims of crime in Charlottesville and the Roanoke Valley. There will be interactive demonstrations, plenty of activities for the children and resource information available for adults about local community groups, service providers, and drug prevention tips.

Independently sponsored by the Jefferson Area Victim Assistance and Roanoke Valley Victims’ Resource Coalitions whose members include federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, victim witness and victim assistance programs, state government agencies, federal government agencies and a multitude of service providers and shelters from the Charlottesville and greater Roanoke area.
