FBI, KPD Investigate Attempted North Knox Bank Robbery

FBI, KPD Investigate Attempted North Knox Bank Robbery

KNOXVILLE-FBI Agents, Safe Streets Task Force Officers, and Knoxville Police investigators are looking for a female who tried to rob a north Knoxville bank shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The female walked into the BB&T Bank located on Merchants Road. She asked to speak with a loan officer and slid a bank employee a note implying she was armed. The note demanded cash. The female became startled and fled on foot toward the rear parking lot.

She is described as standing approximately 5 feet tall, wearing jeans, white shoes, a dark shirt with a gray zip-up hoodie. She also wore a tan “bedazzled" type hat.
