FBI Announces the Arrest of an Alleged Bank Robber

FBI Announces the Arrest of an Alleged Bank Robber

The FBI is announcing the arrest earlier today, May 21, 2018, of Christina Rossi, 33, of Sunrise, Florida, on federal bank robbery charges for her alleged involvement in the robberies of a Sun Trust Bank branch at 6260 Powerline Road, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and a Wells Fargo Bank branch at 2525 N. Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, Florida, both on May 15, 2018.

The arrest was made without incident by the Broward Sheriff’s Office in North Lauderdale, Florida.

Rossi is in federal custody and is facing federal charges. Her initial appearance is anticipated to be in federal court in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The complaint detailing the charges can be found in PACER in due course.

The investigation is still ongoing. No further information is being released at this time.
