Florida Man Charged with Albany Bank Robbery
ATLANTA-David J. LeValley, special agent in charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, and Chief Michael Persley of the Albany Police Department announce the arrest of Luis A. Mellado-Sanchez in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Albany.
On Monday, May 21, 2018 at approximately 12:10 p.m., the Regions Bank located at 333 Broad Avenue was robbed by an individual who passed a note to a bank teller and demanded money. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect put the money in a dark-colored shoulder bag and left the bank.
On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, Mellado-Sanchez was arrested for the bank robbery.
The public should be reminded that the above are merely allegations and that all persons are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
