Wanted FBI Fugitive Ransom Cardel White Captured in Lafayette, Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS-FBI Special Agent in Charge Eric J. Rommal of the New Orleans Field Office announces the arrest of Ransom Cardel White, a federal fugitive from Lafayette, Louisiana, who was wanted on various drug and firearms charges.

Ransom White, a.k.a. “Ransom Racks", from Lafayette, Louisiana, was taken into custody on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 at approximately 12:00 p.m., in the McComb-Veazy neighborhood of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was arrested without incident by the FBI, Lafayette City Marshals, Lafayette Police Department, and Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

White was federally indicted in the Western District of Louisiana in 2018 on the following charges:

* One count of 21 USC 846-Conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine

* One count of 21 USC 843-Use of a communication facility in causing or facilitating a drug trafficking crime

* One count of 18 USC 922-Felon in possession of a firearm and forfeiture allegations.

The allegations contained in this release and related indictment is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
