Man Robs Albuquerque Bank, Flees in White Jeep

Man Robs Albuquerque Bank, Flees in White Jeep

A man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt robbed a westside Albuquerque bank Friday afternoon, Sept. 21, 2018, afternoon and fled in a newer model white Jeep Compass.

The suspect was described as a heavy-set white male in his 30s, approximately 6'1" to 6'5" tall. He had a reddish beard.

He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, a camouflage bandana over his face, dark gloves, blue jeans, and carried a blue bag.

At approximately 5:57 p.m., the suspect entered New Mexico Bank & Trust, 6201 Riverside Plaza Lane NW.

He made a verbal demand for money from a teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect.

The suspect was last seen in a newer model white Jeep Compass heading south out of the parking lot.

The vehicle had a New Mexico chile license plate that was reported stolen.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (505) 889-1300, or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
