FBI, Elizabethton Police Investigating Carter County Bank Robbery

FBI, Elizabethton Police Investigating Carter County Bank Robbery

(ELIZABETHTON, TENNESSEE)-Elizabethton police officers and special agents assigned to the Johnson City Resident Agency of the FBI are looking for the man who robbed the Carter County Bank on Milligan Avenue Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, afternoon.

Witnesses say the man, wearing a yellow striped shirt, dark baseball hat, sunglasses, and a bandana covering his face, entered the Carter County Bank at approximately 1:30 p.m. The man, who detectives and agents describe as a white male of medium build, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

He exited the bank and fled in a late-model silver Ford Fusion. Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle is asked to call the Elizabethton Police Department at (423) 542-4141, or the FBI Knoxville Field Office at (865) 544-0751
