The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force Are Investigating a Bank Robbery That Occurred in Centennial Colorado
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating the following bank robbery:
First Bank
2323 East Arapahoe Road
Centennial, Colorado
Jan. 11, 2019, 11:58 p.m.
The suspect, who was armed with a black handgun and U.S. Postal box which was threatened to be a “bomb," robbed the bank and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white middle aged male, 5’6" to 5’8" tall, stocky build, wearing a navy or black hooded sweatshirt with a gray ski mask, gray pants, and white tennis shoes.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
