FBI Denver Division and Aurora Police Department Working High-Value Electronics Theft Investigation and Need the Community’s Assistance to Solve This Crime
In conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Aurora Police Department is conducting a major theft investigation. In this case, a large number of high-value electronics were removed from the back of a semi-truck trailer.
Between November 27 and Nov. 29, 2018, a 2018 Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck with a 2016 Manac trailer, both white in color, traveled from Michigan, through Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska finally stopping at the Flying J truck stop at 16751 East 32nd Avenue, Aurora, Colorado.
While the truck was traveling through Colorado, it was on I-76 and made stops in Brush, Colorado, and on the side of the highway at Iliff, Colorado, before stopping at the Flying J in Aurora, Colorado.
During one of those stops, it is possible that eight hard plastic containers and 50 boxes of various sizes were removed from the trailer
