FBI Requests Public Assistance to Identify 'Aggravated Bandit'
Robber Believed Responsible for Three Bank Robberies
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Violent Crimes Task Force are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual believed to be responsible for three bank robberies in San Diego County. In each case, the robber had a similar appearance, wore a “hoodie" sweatshirt and bandana to cover his head and face, and made verbal demands for money. This robber has been named the “Aggravated Bandit" because witnesses have described this robber’s demeanor as demanding and aggravated.

* Nov. 28, 2017 3:17 p.m. Chase Bank 1100 Palm Avenue, Imperial Beach, California
* Jan. 31, 2019 3:04 p.m. Chase Bank 1100 Palm Avenue, Imperial Beach, California
Robber Description:
* Sex: Male
* Race: Hispanic
* Age: Approximately 20 years old
* Weight: 140-170 pounds
* Height: 5’7" tall
* Build: “Skinny"
* Clothing: Black hooded sweatshirt, dark sunglasses, black hat, and a black bandana covering his face
* Weapon: Not seen or threatened during the robbery
Robbery #1
On Nov. 20, 2017, at approximately 12:20 p.m., the robber entered a Wells Fargo Bank, approached the teller and stated “give me all of your cash right now!" The robber was provided a sum of cash. The robber then demanded money from a second teller and again demanded cash asking for the “hundreds." After being provided funds from both tellers and asking the tellers if he had received “all the cash," the robber departed the bank on foot.

On Nov. 28, 2017, at approximately 3:17 p.m., the robber entered a Chase Bank, approached three tellers and made a verbal demand for money. Similarly, the robber moved to each window grabbing the cash provided. He made repeated demands for “hundreds." After taking the money from all three tellers, the robber departed the bank on foot with the cash in a plastic bag.

On Jan. 31, 2019, at approximately 3:04 p.m., the robber entered a Chase Bank, approached three tellers and made a verbal demand for money. The robber moved to each window grabbing the cash provided. Again, the robber made repeated demands for cash by saying, “Give me all the hundreds, now!" After taking the money from all three tellers, the robber departed the bank on foot with the cash in a plastic bag.
