FBI Denver Division to Hold August 1st Diversity Agent Recruiting Event

DENVER, CO-As part of the FBI’s continuing commitment to attract highly skilled and diverse talent, the FBI Denver Division will host a targeted recruiting event on Aug. 1, 2019, in Denver, Colorado. The event is part of the FBI’s “Diversity Agent Recruitment" (DAR) Program, an initiative aimed at reaching applicants with a variety of backgrounds to diversify the FBI special agent force.

This invitation-only event will provide attendees with the opportunity to participate in discussions with current FBI special agents and gain first-hand knowledge about their training, general experiences as a special agent, as well as to learn what to expect when they are assigned to one of the FBI’s 56 divisions throughout the United States.

Special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff assigned to FBI Denver criminal, national security, and intelligence squads, along with representatives from specialized investigative teams will be on hand to interact with recruits. Specifically, personnel from the Joint Terrorism and Safe Streets Task Forces, white collar and public corruption, cyber, gang, human trafficking, and foreign counterintelligence squads will attend this event. SWAT, the evidence response team, hazardous materials response team; Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) division liaisons, special agent bomb technicians, Weapons of Mass Destruction, physical fitness instructors, recruiting, and more will also be present.

Professional staff and intelligence staff personnel in attendance include: the administrative officer and professional staff supervisors, supervisory intelligence analysts, staff operations specialists, intelligence analysts, computer scientists, and linguists.

Holding a Diversity Agent Recruiting event in the Denver Division allows the FBI the opportunity to work toward reaching audiences who traditionally may not think of the FBI as a career choice and will serve to enhance our diverse workforce. While the FBI encourages applicants from all backgrounds to become special agents, recruiters are currently seeking applicants with skills in the following areas:

* Foreign Languages (Critical Languages include: Russian, Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish)

* Juris Doctor (Degree)/State Bar

* Accounting/Certified Public Accountants (CPAs),

* Finance (Degree)

* Computer Science (Degree)/Information Technology (Degree),

* Cyber Security,

* Data Analysis/Networking

* Engineering (Degree)

* Intelligence

* Military

* Law Enforcement

* Physical Science

* Must be 23 years of age, not more than 36 1/2 (some exceptions for military apply);

* Applicants must possess a U.S.-accredited Bachelor’s degree at a minimum;

* Have at least two years of full-time professional work experience;

* And must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
