FBI Media Alert: FBI Arrests Suspect in Shiprock Homicide

FBI Media Alert: FBI Arrests Suspect in Shiprock Homicide

The FBI has arrested Tavor Tom, 18, on a federal complaint charging him with a homicide that occurred in Shiprock, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation.

Tom, of the Shiprock area, is accused of the death of a woman whose body was found in a residence on Tuesday.

FBI special agents arrested Tom in Farmington on Wednesday.

The Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety and San Juan County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.

Tom is expected to have an initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Farmington on Friday.

The public is reminded all defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
