SAN JUAN, PR-Special Agent in Charge Douglas A. Leff, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) San Juan Field Office, announced the arrest of Jeffrey Brian Hunter.
Hunter was charged under a complaint with a violation of Title 18 U.S.C. § 1073 (Unlawful flight to avoid prosecution). He was arrested on Sept. 30, 2019 in connection to the crime of Custodial Interference, for relocating to Puerto Rico with his three daughters without their mother’s consent, in violation of a court approved parenting plan.
This case is being prosecuted in the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, located in Missoula, Montana and is being investigated by the FBI Kalispell Resident Agency in Kalispell, Montana. Hunter was located and arrested in Rincón, Puerto Rico.
