On Saturday, September 24, 2022, the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLMs) Lakeview Field Office is hosting a National Public Lands Day event near Anderson Lake from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers may meet at the Lakeview Field Office at 8 a.m. and carpool or 9:30 a.m. at the Warner Wetlands Interpretive Site. Warner Wetlands is located at 42°26’34.10” N, 119°49’36.45” W. The event will focus on cleaning up an old dump site. Bring sunscreen, water, a hat, leather gloves, eye protection, a camera, and wear sturdy shoes. Long sleeves and pants are suggested. Tools will be provided. Lunch will be provided.
National Public Lands Day is the perfect hands-on opportunity to experience what the nation’s public lands have to offer. Everyone is welcome to help restore, beautify, and improve the outdoor spaces and recreation areas we all benefit from and enjoy.
