Availability of Low-Interest Physical Loss Loans for Producers Affected by Natural Disasters in Montana

Physical loss loans can help producers repair or replace damaged or destroyed physical property essential to the success of the agricultural operation, including livestock losses. Examples of property commonly affected include essential farm buildings, fixtures to real estate, equipment, livestock, perennial crops, fruit and nut bearing trees and harvested or stored crops and hay.

State: Montana

Triggering Disaster Event: Wildfire that occurred July 29, 2022, and continuing Application Deadline: April 19, 2023

Primary Counties Eligible: Flathead, Lake and Treasure

Contiguous Areas also Eligible: Montana: Big Horn, Glacier, Lewis and Clark, Lincoln, Missoula, Pondera, Powell, Rosebud, Sanders, Teton and Yellowstone
