NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the 2022 recreational ocean salmon fisheries.
Inseason Action #40: Effective 12:01 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2022, for the recreational fishery from Leadbetter Point to Cape Falcon, OR (Columbia River subarea), Chinook salmon retention is prohibited, and the portion of the subarea North of 46° 15’ N and East of 124° 08’ 40” W is open to fishing for salmon.
