The Bureau of Land Management-Eastern States (BLM-ES) office will hold a quarterly, competitive oil and gas lease sale on Dec. 13, 2012, at the BLM-ES office located at 7450 Boston Boulevard, Springfield, Virginia. The sale is open to the public. Parking is available. The Public Room at the BLM-ES office will open at 8:00 a.m.; registration begins at 9:00 a.m.; bidding at the oral auction will begin at 10:00 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, registration and bidding will begin two hours later. The BLM-ES is offering 57 parcels containing 21,347.51 acres of Federal lands in the state of Louisiana. Parcels are offered in Desoto, Lafourche, Rapides and Natchitoches parishes.

Comments will be received at any time; however,protests must be received before 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, Oct. 15, 2012.
