BLM Recreation Sites to Waive Fees this Saturday

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will waive entrance fees for visitors to BLM recreation sites this Saturday, September 24th, in honor of National Public Lands Day."This Saturday thousands of volunteers across the country will join together to benefit America's public lands," said Jesse Juen, BLM-New Mexico State Director. "To celebrate National Public Lands Day, we're waiving recreation fees at BLM sites across New Mexico to encourage families to get outside and enjoy their public lands."New Mexico fee sites include: Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River which includes Wild Rivers and Orilla Verde, Santa Cruz Lake, Valley of Fires Recreation Area, Three Rivers Petroglyph Site, Aguirre Spring Recreation Site, and Dripping Springs Natural Area.Site standard amenity and individual day-use fees at BLM recreation sites and areas will be waived. Other fees, such as overnight camping, cabin rentals, and group day use, will remain in effect.
