GLADE PARK, Colo. - Fire officials from a variety of agencies are hosting an informative workshop in Glade Park Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Glade Park Fire Department to help people prepare for the upcoming wildfire season.
Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department, Mesa County, and the federal Upper Colorado River Interagency Management Unit are hosting a “Ready, Set, Go!" workshop focusing on the many things homeowners and residents can do to protect their home and provide for the safety of their family, neighbors and firefighters.
“Glade Park has a long history of wildfires going back many years, and we will continue to see wildfires because they are a natural, unavoidable part of the environment in western Colorado," said Rich Trotter, Glade Park Fire Chief. “With wildfire season approaching, now is the time to prepare your property and family for a possible wildfire."
