BLM Colorado to Host Public Workshop on Filing Mining Claims/Sites

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is hosting a free public workshop to discuss mining claim/site filing requirements from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., July 31 at the Colorado State Office, 2850 Youngfield St., Lakewood CO 80215.

The workshop will focus on how to interpret BLM land records, how to locate and file a mining claim or site, what is required to maintain a claim or site, as well as the applicable fees. The workshop will also cover BLM’s definitions of activity levels and the associated state and federal requirements. Time will also be provided to answer any questions regarding mining claim/site filings.
