BLM Invites Public Comments on the Revised Protocol between BLM New Mexico and the State Historic Preservation Office

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) New Mexico is seeking public comment on the draft revised Protocol between the BLM New Mexico and the New Mexico State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). This revised Protocol addresses how Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act is implemented for BLM undertakings in the State of New Mexico.The BLM New Mexico and SHPO have been operating under State Protocols since 1998, and this most recent revision is in response to updated national policy. The comment period ends on July 11, 2014.
