Southwest Resource Advisory Council to meet

DOLORES, Colo.-The Bureau of Land Management’s Southwest Resource Advisory Council will meet Friday, Aug. 15, at the Dolores Public Lands Center, 29211 Hwy. 184, Dolores, Colo.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. and is open to the public, the public comment period is at 11:30 a.m. Individuals who want to make a statement during the public comment period should register with the BLM by sending an email to sborders@blm.gov by Wednesday, Aug. 13. Speakers should submit a written copy of their statement at the meeting for the administrative record. Depending on the number of speakers, the RAC may limit the length of presentations.

Agenda topics include:

* Oil and Gas sub-group update

* Gunnison Sage-Grouse update

* Land Tenure discussion

The Southwest RAC is one of three advisory councils to BLM Colorado. Composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, individuals serving in each RAC represent a broad range of public land interests, ranging from environmental to local government to commercial activity.
