Moab, Utah-The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah Moab Field Office today issued a decision approving a new nine-mile non-motorized mountain bike trail in the Sand Flats Recreation Area.
Currently known as the Big Burrito Trail, the new trail is the only non-motorized mountain bike trail in the Sand Flats Recreation Area. The Big Burrito Trail gives less advanced riders an alternative to the Porcupine Rim portion of the Whole Enchilada Trail and provides connectivity to a mountain bike trail system for riders wanting to ride directly from town. The addition of the Big Burrito Trail expands recreational opportunities and enhances the experience for visitors to the Sand Flats Recreation Area.
