BLM Takes Comments on Proposed Vegetation Management Program

REDDING, Calif. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Redding Field Office is requesting public comments regarding a proposed weed and vegetation management program

Comments on the environmental assessment will be accepted through May 12. Comments may be submitted by email toblm_ca_reddingnepa@blm.gov, with "Integrated Vegetation Management" in the subject line, or by letter to the following address:

The program would cover approximately 250,000 acres of BLM-managed land in Butte, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity counties. A combination of mechanical, physical and chemical methods will be used on targeted species. Chemical treatments are not proposed for use in Trinity County.
