Alabama Hills Volunteer Day Planned

LONE PINE, Calif. - The Alabama Hills Stewardship Group, the Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association and the Bureau of Land Management will hold a volunteer work day in the Alabama Hills on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Volunteers will do trail maintenance and vegetation restoration from 10 a.m. to noon.

Participants should meet at the corner of Whitney Portal and Movie roads. Dress for outdoor work with comfortable, sturdy shoes, gloves and a hat. Bring sunscreen and water. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided.
