BLM Extends Scoping Period for Southwest Idaho Travel Management Plans

The following press releases was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management on March 28, 2017. It is reproduced in full below.

BOISE, Idaho - The Bureau of Land Management has extended the public scoping period for the Canyonlands West and Grand View Travel Management Plans’ (TMP) environmental analyses through April 21, 2017. This extension is in response to multiple public requests to allow more time for review and to provide feedback about issues to be considered in the environmental analyses.

The BLM encourages the public to use this scoping period to identify issues that may influence the environmental analyses or the range of alternatives to be analyzed. The public will also have an opportunity to provide comments on the environmental analyses once they have been completed in the fall of 2017 prior to decisions being issued.

Detailed information and maps are available for the Canyonlands West TMP at http://bit.ly/2kqMvwh and the Grand View TMP at http://bit.ly/2lRqDGO.

Scoping issues will be accepted through the following means:

* Email: oma_trans_wild@blm.gov

* Fax: 208-384-3489

* Surface mail: 3948 S. Development Ave., Boise, Idaho 83705

Those who provide feedback about issues are advised that before including their personal identifying information (address, email, and phone number) they should be aware that the entire statement - including their personal identifying information - may be made publicly available at any time. While those providing feedback can ask in their response to withhold this information from public review, the BLM cannot guarantee that they will be able to do so.
