Salem, Ore. - Access will be limited to the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Sandy Ridge Recreation Site July 19 to 21 due to a land use permit for use of the parking area and trails. The BLM facilitates opportunities for development of energy infrastructure, active timber management, and commercial recreation on our public lands that create jobs that help local communities grow.
All public access will be prohibited on July 20 to ensure public safety while crews are present.
Limited parking spaces and trails will be open for public use July 19 and 21. Visitors are encouraged to utilize shuttle and bus services to and from the site on those days to help reduce congestion in the parking area.
“We appreciate the public’s understanding as we manage the site for both general and permitted uses during this busy recreation season," said Jose Linares, Northwest Oregon District Manager.
