Lakeview BLM seeks comments on juniper treatment project

LAKEVIEW, Ore. -- Bureau of Land Management Lakeview District Office is seeking your diverse views

regarding the Clover Flat Environmental Assessment, which is intended to keep public lands healthy and

productive.

The Environmental Assessment analyzed the potential effects of conducting sagebrush habitat restoration

project on about 19,625 acres of public lands in the Clover Flat area west of Valley Falls, Ore., resulting in a

Finding of No Significant Impact. These documents are ready for public review and comment at

The EA analyzed the potential direct, indirect, and cumulative environmental impacts of three management

alternatives - no action, proposed action and biomass removal -- and is now available for public review.

Comments on the proposal must be submitted in writing to the Field Manager, Lakeview Field Office,

Lakeview District Office, Bureau of Land Management, 1301 South G Street, Lakeview, Oregon 97630, no

later than Nov. 9, 2017.
