ROSWELL, N.M. - On December 6, 2017, the Bureau of Land Management’s Pecos District Resource Advisory Council will convene for a meeting in Roswell at the Pecos District Office at 2909 West Second Street, Roswell, NM 88201. The meeting is open to the public.
The RAC meeting will be held from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Pecos District Office. The meeting agenda will include a presentation on the Draft Carlsbad Resource Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement; Overviews on the Proposed Recreation Fee at the Rob Jaggers Campground, the Rio Bonito Wetlands Proposed Project, and District workload priorities, and updates on Area of Critical Environmental Concern guidance Plan, Fort Stanton Cave, and Oil and Gas Regulations Update.
The meeting will have a half-hour public comment period at 2:00 p.m. for anyone interested in addressing the RAC. Depending on the number of persons wishing to speak and time available, individual comments may be limited. The public may also send written comments to the RAC by mailing to the BLM Pecos District Office, Attn: Glen Garnand, 2909 West Second Street, Roswell, NM 88201. Written comments must be received no later than December 5, 2017.
The 10-member Pecos District Resource Advisory Council provides advice and recommendations on resource and land management issues for 3.5 million acres of public land located in southeastern New Mexico.
