MORENO VALLEY, Calif. - Effective immediately the Bureau of Land Management has lifted its fire prevention closure for public land access in and near Whitewater Canyon in Riverside County.
This action terminates a Whitewater Fire Prevention order issued on June 1, 2017, by the BLM Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office. Although the fire prevention closure order is no longer necessary, Stage III fire restrictions still remain in effect for the Whitewater area.
