MEDFORD, Ore. - The Bureau of Land Management Medford District Office is accepting applications from April 2nd to April 20th for the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument 2018 Teachers on Public Lands program. The BLM manages public lands for the benefit of current and future generations, supporting conservation as we pursue our multiple-use mission. The Teachers on Public Lands program is open to any K-12 teacher who is interested in learning more about Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and the BLM.
The teacher selected will receive an educational stipend of $2000 for completing 160 hours of service. The teacher will also receive 3 graduate credits which can also be used as continuing education credits through the University of Colorado. All fees and tuition are covered by the Teachers on Public Lands program.
The teacher will complete a final project that includes development of curriculum-based learning project that meets both resource management objectives, and educational teaching objectives. It’s a win/win!
