ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Bureau of Land Management invites trail lovers of all ages to the BLM Campbell Tract Saturday, June 2, 2018 to celebrate National Trails Day. Join us for this volunteer opportunity and be a steward of your public lands.
BLM staff and volunteers will remove old fencing, build new fencing, make improvements to trails, and get the Campbell Creek Science Center gardens ready for spring. All tools will be provided. Wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and dress in layers to be prepared for possible rain and wind.
Volunteer registration begins at 8:30 A.M. at the Science Center. Work projects begin at 9:00 A.M. After a morning of outdoor work, volunteers will gather at the Science Center for a pizza lunch provided by the Friends of Campbell Creek Science Center.
The entrance to the Campbell Tract is just off Elmore Road near E. 68th Avenue.
