Join the BLM for National Trails Day to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the National Trails System Act

(Dillon, Mont.) - Please join the BLM-Dillon Field Office for National Trails Day. The BLM will be hosting volunteers to help enhance the Bear Trap National Recreation Trail, within the Bear Trap Canyon unit of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness. Work will include picking up litter, brushing and minor trail maintenance. The BLM will provide gloves, trash bags and pickers as well as hand tools to help perform the work. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act, help us to celebrate it by giving back to the Bear Trap National Recreation Trail. Meet at the Bear Trap Trailhead by 9:00 on Saturday June 2nd, the event will last until 12:00. Please bring enough water and food for yourselves. Please wear long sleeves, pants and boots and be prepared for any weather.
