Dillon BLM invites public to comment on Red Rock/Lima assessment

(DILLON, Mont.) - The Bureau of Land Management’s Dillon Field Office has released the Red Rock/Lima Watershed Environmental Assessment for public comment.

The watershed in Beaverhead County stretches south of Dillon along I-15 to the Continental Divide, covering about 69,000 acres of BLM-administered land in 28 grazing allotments. There are approximately 400 acres within the watershed that are un-allotted.

After reviewing the environmental assessment and considering public comment, the Dillon field manager will select one or a combination of alternatives for implementation.

The environmental assessment is available online at the Bureau’s ePlanning webpage at: https://go.usa.gov/xQFJC

Copies of the environmental assessment are also available at the Dillon Field Office at 1005 Selway Drive, Dillon Montana 59725.

The comment period for this EA is open until July 15. Written comments should be submitted to the Dillon Field Office, or by email at MT_Dillon_FO@blm.gov.
