YUMA, Ariz. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Yuma Field Office invites public participation in the review of the Imperial Hills Travel Management Plan (TMP) and environmental assessment. The Imperial Hills TMP area boundaries are from Hidden Shores RV Park on the south, the community of Martinez Lake on the north, Yuma Proving Ground on the east with the Colorado River marking the western boundary. Documents have been released for public review and input through an online platform.
Travel management is a comprehensive approach to the administration of travel and transportation networks of roads, primitive routes, trails, and areas. This planning includes the inventory and mapping, route designations, and other measures necessary for providing access to and across public lands for a variety of uses.
The public comment period is from August 22 through Sept. 21, 2018.
Stakeholders are encouraged to submit their comments for the record through the BLM online land use planning tool, ePlanning, at: https://go.usa.gov/xU7mt. The ePlanning site also has an interactive web map that will record public comments.
